Available Courses

  • ME 203 Survey of Missions (3 hrs.)  This course is an overview of the concepts and principles of missions that every Christian should know. It includes a general survey of the lives of great missionaries from the time of Paul to the present. It also includes the local church’s involvement in reaching the world for Christ. The student should gain an understanding of how to promote missions and encourage believers to examine their personal involvement with and/or call to the mission field.

  • GB 121 Defending the Faith (3 hrs.)  This class will investigate various questions asked by non-Christians. It will look at questions such as; “Is Christianity rational? Is there a God? Is Christ God? Did Christ rise from the dead? Is the Bible reliable?” The class will address the objections and arguments presented by non-Christians in relation to these and other questions. The class will present Biblical responses to each question.

  • GB 101 Bible Study Methods (3 hrs.)  This beginning hermeneutics class is an introduction to Bible Study methods. The class surveys different study methods but focuses mostly on inductive Bible study techniques. The emphasis is on practical and personal Bible study methods, which can be used for personal enrichment or group study.

  • TH 103 Christian Union History and Organization (2 hrs.) (Formerly C.U. Directory)  This is a study of the history, organization, rules, and regulations pertaining to Christian Union. The class looks at the biblical principles used in guiding the foundation of Christian Union. This class also examines the Christian Union Directory. The class helps students become aware of the principles governing Christian Union.

  • TH 203 Survey of Christian Doctrine (3 hrs.)  This is a basic course in Bible doctrine, with emphasis upon their Scriptural foundations. Includes a study of such doctrines as Bible, God, Man, Sin, Salvation, the Church, and Last Things.

  • OT 101 Old Testament Survey (3 hrs.)  A survey of the entire Old Testament in its historical and cultural context in order to understand its general content, including the outstanding features and basic teachings, to discover the place of each book in God’s total progressive revelation, and to apply practical principles for contemporary Christian living.

  • NT 102 New Testament Survey (3 hrs.)  A survey of the entire New Testament in its historical and cultural context, including the intertestamental period, in order to gain a knowledge of the life of Christ, the establishment of the church, and the teachings concerning the believer's faith and practice.

  • NT 214 Acts (3 hrs.) Gives particular attention to the relationship of the Book of Acts to the Gospels in presenting Christ’s continuing ministry by the Holy Spirit through believers; the spread of the Gospel from Jerusalem to Rome according to the plan outlined by the risen Lord; and the distinctive ministries of Peter, Paul and other leading personalities.

  • HI 101 Survey of Church History (3 hrs.) This course will give the student an overview of church history by looking at four main divisions of church history from the perspectives of the Ancient Church, the Medieval Church, the Reformation Church, and the Modern Church. The class will also examine the lives of key individuals that have impacted Church History.

  • YM 102 The Purpose Driven Youth Ministry (3 hrs.)  A foundational study of the five biblical New Testament purposes for the church including worship, fellowship, evangelism, discipleship, and service.  This course will help the student discover why youth ministry exists and what the biblical goals for youth ministry should be.

  • YM 101 Introdution to Youth Ministry (2 hrs)  This course presents an overview of the function and place of youth ministry in the local church, summarizing the biblical, theological, historical, and philosophical foundations as well as the basic objectives of youth ministry.
